Greece PM wins Cabinet support for referendum on EU bailout, markets go into frenzy

Athens: Greek Prime Minister and his cabinet won support for a referendum on Wednesday 130000000000 € euro aid package but consider stun leaders who struck the deal last week, more difficult to convince.

Some of his party lawmakers urged him to quit his membership of the euro in Greece damaging the shock decision to call the voice of the people, to move to the euro and pummeled the world's reserves, but the cabinet will support at least a delay before the trust vote in Parliament on Friday.

The planned referendum on its latest bailout deal may be brought forward about a month to December, the Interior Minister said Wednesday.

"There is a way to hold a referendum before (in January) during December," said Interior Minister Haris KASTANIDIS on national television.
