The market was completely lackluster due to the low volume of trade in the middle of the holiday mood throughout the world, even though the Sensex hit the 16,000 mark. Index heavyweights like Infosys, L & T and Reliance Industries were helping at the same time, ITC, SBI and ONGC were under pressure. The Sensex and the Nifty up 42.88 points from 16,013.63 4,790.70 11.7 points.

The Sensex opened flat negative bias due to lack of domestic and global cues. Most of the world's markets were closed yesterday and the Asian markets over the Christmas holiday apartment in the negative bias.
The Sensex fell 37 points at 15,933.64 and the Nifty fell 11.55 points 4,767.45.
Shares in Tata Motors, SBI, PNB, JP Associates, Bajaj Auto, M & M, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Bharti, ITC, and Kotak Mahindra Bank were under pressure at the start of trade.
However, Reliance Communications, Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Capital, Reliance Power received 1.5 to 3.5%.
Index heavyweights Reliance Industries and L & T were slightly higher.
CNX Midcap Index fell by only 3 points in the 6231st The market breadth was neutral.
The second line shares, Bharati Shipyard jumped 4% of the company's board approved a debt of Rs 2,854 crore worth the upgrade.
Hanung Toys has risen 4.5%. ARSS Infra and ICSA 3.5% concentration. Lanco Infra and GMR Infra were up 0.5-1%.
However, VIP Industries, Hexaware and SKS Microfinance fell 2-2.5%.
Jet Airways lost 1.5% reported that the IT department has sent two messages a company promoted by Naresh Goyal accounts in foreign markets.
